We wanted to sell our home because we moved to a larger home. We met with one agent; however, we were not pleased with the presentation and the recommended asking price based upon their research seemed quite low to us. We did not follow up, and later asked a relative who works for Keller Williams in Florida for guidance. He highly recommended that we meet with Calvin Shropshire. I met with Calvin the next day, and he showed me the market research he had done, and we went through the home. Based upon his knowledge of what people were paying for homes in our area, he recommended an asking price that we felt was setting the bar high; however, he seemed very confident in his sales strategy. My wife and I felt very good with the strategy he explained knowing that he would be working hard to sell our home to get us a very fair price. Beyond listing our home on various web sites, I would say sending the interior decorator to help us stage our home was most beneficial. Her ideas definitely were good and made our home show better to prospective buyers. I was most impressed when Calvin proactively obtained a quote from a contractor to make changes to the house requested by the buyer. I cannot think of anything else that Calvin could have done better to help us sell our house. My wife and I will definitely recommend Calvin to others, and actually have done so already. We met Rebecca Nottingham at an open house. I immediately liked her and found her to be very knowledgeable and receptive to our needs. We met several realtors (from various agencies) at a variety of open houses, however Rebecca was the only one who followed up with us on a timely basis. When my wife and I were interested in selling our home a friend recommended Calvin Shropshire. We were nervous because we had already listed our home twice before with no luck. Calvin not only listed my home, he invested in my home. Before he listed it, he paid for a stager to come out and show us how to present the house. Then, he paid for a professional photographer to take pictures. Calvin's communication throughout the process was amazing. If we had questions he was quick to answer. After a short time Calvin sold my home for $15000 more than other realtors would list it at. Calvin and his team are second to none and I highly recommend him.
