There’s a reason that so many outdoors enthusiasts are drawn to Chattanooga. It’s a stunningly beautiful area, and luckily, there are plenty of ways you can enjoy the natural splendor. I’m an agent with the Premier Group with Keller Williams Realty, but I also enjoy spending time outdoors and soaking up all Chattanooga has to offer.
If you’re looking for an easy-but-beautiful stroll, you’ve got lots of options. Since my daughter is young, we look for hikes that she can handle. One of our favorites is Glen Falls on Lookout Mountain. The terrain is not too challenging, and there’s a small waterfall with a pool below -- perfect for letting your littles (or dogs) splash in.

You’ve thought about moving to Hixson and you’re looking for a great dog park for your four-legged friend. Greenway Farms, part of the North Chickamauga Creek Conservatory, is a favorite spot for anyone looking to get outside.
Start at the off-leash dog park to let your pup run off that stored energy. There is an area for small and large dogs, as well as water bins for the dogs to drink out of when they need to rehydrate meaning you don’t have to worry about taking any along with you.
If you and your dog still have energy, check out the walk up to the top of the quarry. At the end of the road leading into Greenway Farms, park your car and take the gravel road to the left. Walk up the hill for a few minutes and eventually you will get to the top and see great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
