You’ve thought about moving to Hixson and you’re looking for a great dog park for your four-legged friend. Greenway Farms, part of the North Chickamauga Creek Conservatory, is a favorite spot for anyone looking to get outside.
Start at the off-leash dog park to let your pup run off that stored energy. There is an area for small and large dogs, as well as water bins for the dogs to drink out of when they need to rehydrate meaning you don’t have to worry about taking any along with you.
If you and your dog still have energy, check out the walk up to the top of the quarry. At the end of the road leading into Greenway Farms, park your car and take the gravel road to the left. Walk up the hill for a few minutes and eventually you will get to the top and see great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

If you’ve visited Chattanooga in the past few years, then you’ve probably noticed that the Southside is becoming one of the most popular areas for locals to hang out, get drinks, and eat great food. Away from the Aquarium and the more touristy parts of downtown, Southside has become a haven for locals to get away from the heavy Market Street traffic. Here are three places you have to visit if you haven’t already.
Clyde's on Main. Located at 122 W Main St., Clyde’s is one of the best places in Chattanooga. Featuring live music of Friday and Saturday night, is a weekend stop for many locals. Brunch is served on the weekends from 10am to 3pm. Get the brisket nachos for an appetizer, the Alabama BBQ biscuit for your meal, and wash it all down with a hunch punch or the John Dailey. You won’t be disappointed!
